Treasure Coast Music Teachers Association To Support Helping People Succeed Programs
WPEC-CBS Channel 12 anchor Liz Quirantes is honorary chair for the Music-Thon. She is an award-winning news anchor, known for supporting causes for children. She is the recipient of a Media Advocate Award from Florida’s Children First and works closely with the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County.
Each year, the Treasure Coast Music Teachers Association designates a local non-profit organization to benefit from community donations. Helping People Succeed was selected this year for its many programs available to 4,500 families served in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties.
Among the various classes for children from newborns to 5 years old is the Music & Movement program offered in Martin and St. Lucie counties. Paula Barnes, the recipient of the Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Award, is the coordinator for children and their families.
