Helping People Succeed's Infant & Toddler Social-Communication Program helps families with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years who live in Martin or St. Lucie counties.

Through educational home visits, a developmental specialist teaches parents play techniques that can address parental concerns about their child’s decreased interest in:

•  Making eye contact
•  Snuggling
•  Responding to a parent's voice and/or facial expressions
•  Playing social games and/or using social gestures

Some children may also:

•  Resist feeding or nursing
•  Have delayed motor development
•  Have delayed or loss of speech skills
•  Have a sibling who also has social-communication difficulties
