Helping People Succeed thanks Skin Serenity Spa & Salon and staff members at the Martin County Clerk of the Circuit Court for contributing a combination of 300 books for children who participate in Helping People Succeed's programs and services through Healthy Families and Baby Steps programs.

Helping People Succeed Board Member Rob Gluckman, the Chief Operating Officer for Treasure Coast Urgent and Family Care and Treasure Coast Primary Care and Employee Wellness, reads to a group of 30 moms and children during a Healthy Families Play Group at the non-profit's offices. The book was Guess How Much I Love You by author Sam McBratney and illustrator Anita Jeram. The Play Groups, organized about a year ago, brings together families in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties.

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, Helping People Succeed received a $256 donation from staff members of Liberator Medical, selecting Helping People Succeed as its Charity of the Month for Dress Down Friday. Helping People Succeed is discontinuing its annual Taste of Success International Wine Tasting, presented at Harbour Bay Plaza for 27 years. The annual event had been scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2014.
As part of its 50th Anniversary celebration, Helping People Succeed is coordinating a month-long “April Showers Baby Shower,” asking Martin, St. Lucie, and Okeechobee communities to assist with baby items that will be distributed to families in need through Helping People Succeed Baby Steps Programs.
