Helping People Succeed Hosts Annual Meeting and Elects New Officers
Helping People Succeed recently held its Annual Meeting (Zoom-style, of course) and formulated an agenda for the 2020-21 year that will allow it to continue serving the community as effectively as it has for more than 56 years.
New Operating and Foundation boards were named and two new board members were introduced.
Officers of Helping People Succeed’s Operating Board are: Barbara Essenwine (Chair), Michael Borlaug (Vice Chair), Cher Fisher (Secretary) and Claire Nash (Treasurer).
Members include Lee Borellis, Phyllis Gillespie, Allen Herskowitz, Bonney Johnson, Shaun Kogut and Jenny Yingling.
Helming the Helping People Succeed Foundation Board will be: Bonney Johnson (Chair), Mary Rose Bressman (Vice Chair), Claire Nash (Secretary), Steven Shultz (Treasurer) and Beth Prinz (Past Chair).
Members are Heidi Bosley, Dale Forbes and Shaun Kogut.
Bosley and Forbes are new to Helping People Succeed.
Heidi Bosley brings more than 40 years’ experience in marketing and public relations for clients such as McDonald’s and Nissan Motor Corporation to the 501(c) 3. She has degrees in Economics and Speech Communications from Wake Forest University and is married with sons aged 21 and 24.
Dale Forbes worked in the Boston home office of Liberty Mutual for almost 38 years and is now retired. After serving in a variety of mostly operational accounting managerial positions, he spent the final ten years as a manager focused on enhancing Liberty Mutual’s global reinsurance credit risk management.
Outgoing board chairs Bliss Browne and Beth Prinz were recognized for their years of service to Helping People Succeed as well as outgoing board member Noel Bobko.
The boards confirmed their commitment to raising funds needed to complete their capital campaign – Building Futures, Changing Lives – to purchase Helping People Succeed’s building on Braille Place in Jensen Beach, build and maintain a reserve account and establish a true endowment to ensure future financial security for the nonprofit.
The board, staff and volunteers are thankful to a community that supports their mission… Helping People Succeed transforms lives by realizing potential, creating hope and building futures through education, counseling, training and employment.
