Mason, who became a U.S. citizen in 2012, was hired by Helping People Succeed to work with adults with disabilities, a position she has handled as a Vocational Coordinator in the school system in Potomac, Maryland and as a Program Manager of Horizon Goodwill in Hagerstown, Maryland and in similar positions since 1992.

Mason has a degree in Special Education from University of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada and a Certificate of Behavior Modification and Preventing, such as Positive Behavior Support (PBS), Body Mass Index (BMI) and The Mandt System, a comprehensive, integrated approach to behavior (MANDT).
